William J. Beecher, CFP®

William “Bill” Beecher is the founding principal of Beecher Financial Planning, LLC, a Fee-Only financial planning and Registered Investment Advisory firm located in beautiful Great Falls, Montana. While the firm provides comprehensive financial planning services and has expertise in all areas related to personal finance and the needs of small business owners, Beecher Financial planning specializes in retirement planning, cash flow management and college planning.

With 40 years experience in the financial services industry, Bill brings a wealth of knowledge in all areas of personal finance. Having worked in high level positions at Wells Fargo Bank, he has special expertise and insights related to lending, the credit process and cash flow management. The last eight years of his banking career were spent gaining specialized knowledge and experience in trust services, estate planning and investments.

To Bill, client service is of the utmost importance. He enjoys working with people on a one-on-one basis and has a real passion for keeping financial advice as simple as possible so it is easier for people to understand.

Bill believes in living the good life – not just in the future but in present time. He also believes in the beauty of financial independence, and that balancing today's desires with tomorrow's needs is important. By helping his clients better understand their options and opportunities, Bill hopes to empower them to realize their dreams, but with a firm footing in reality.

Bridging the gap between dreams and reality

After four decades of involvement in the financial services industry, Bill has come to the conclusion that financial planners should provide objective, professional advice to people from all walks of life regardless of their net worth or income. To strengthen his professional alliances and gain access to high level practice management tools, he joined The Garrett Planning Network, Inc., an international network of Fee-Only advisors. Bill and all Garrett Planning Network members are dedicated to providing competent, professional advice on an hourly, as-needed basis without commissions, hidden costs or agendas.

Bill is committed to moving you closer to your dreams. “First and foremost," says Bill, "I believe in focusing on the well being of the client. My overarching objective is to help people achieve their dreams and gain financial independence to the highest extent possible. In addition to helping them see and take advantage of the various options and opportunities available, I also help them avoid financial pitfalls and mistakes,” he says.

About Bill Beecher

In 1963, Bill received a BS in Finance from the University of Montana. He is also a Certified Financial Planner® professional, having earned the right to use the CFP® marks of distinction after completing a comprehensive curriculum, a rigorous examination and meeting the CFP Board of Standard's exacting experience requirements. He is a current member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA), the internationally recognized organization of professionals dedicated to championing the financial planning process.

Bill’s charitable endeavors include United Way, Big Brothers and Sisters, Boys and Girls Club and the American Red Cross. He is active in his community and is presently a Great Falls City Commissioner and a director of Great Falls Development Corporation (economic development).

Bill was raised in a ranching environment in central Montana. His daughter, Stacey, obtained a degree in finance and marketing and is currently working in the marketing field. Bill's hobbies include snow skiing, golf, hiking and sailing. Or he can be found just hanging out with a good book, by the fire on a cold day or on the deck in warmer weather.
